Help

helpmovie

What is it about people that causes them to hate each other for their differences? After so many movements and speeches and protests, how do we still find race, religion, and lifestyle differences to be justifiable cause to disrespect other people? Recently I had the opportunity to sit down with a diverse group of film workers local to my own Charleston, South Carolina and discuss a potential film that would target the ridiculous idea of racism. Crown Vision Media and Block One Studios were already in pre-production for the film when they decided to cast me as the naive racial sensitivity counselor, “Dr. Carl”. With the help of a dedicated cast and crew, we were able to produce a short concept video under the working name Help!

Out of the Woodwork has the exclusive honor of presenting this short film’s debut, and we are so excited to share it with you! Our ultimate goal is to give each of you some insight into what these companies are doing in the Charleston film industry, and convince you to stay tuned as we move forward toward a full-length feature film based off of this concept.

For now, join me (Dr. Carl) as we sit down with a few guests in our “Racial Sensitivity” session! No one thinks that they should be here, but they really should, shouldn’t they?

Out of the Woodwork readers get to see it first right here: http://vimeo.com/108058050

Here to make you laugh, make you cry, and make you think; I’m Chancy Johnson, here to bring this video~
